SpaceHub started as Spacehub — a small experiment to see whether a social network could be built and run from Nigeria, on a zero budget, and still work on the phones most Nigerians actually use.
We shut it down once to rebuild it from scratch. That rebuild is SpaceHub. Along the way we learned a few things: that chronological feeds bury good posts under a flood of noise; that modern apps leave basic-phone users behind; and that fake "admins" will always try to exploit a new platform's trust.
So we fixed all three. The feed is ranked by an AI that learns what you care about. The legacy version uses real links and forms — no JavaScript, no download, no app store. And every post is checked for NSFW, spam, and impersonation before it reaches anyone else.
SpaceHub is small. It's new. But it works, it's honest about what it is, and it's built to grow with the people who use it.
